Helga King Pillow November 27th, 2018 - 06:34:23
DIY faux fur throw pillows. The first thing I want to show you is door decor. I think it's really important that when your guests arrived, they immediately have something putting a smile on their face. Ivan you obviously opening the door Christmas decorations is a great way to do that. I know personally walking and driving around this time of year. I love it when I see Christmas lights up and people that take the time to really decorate and get into the holiday season or if they just have big reads on their door and really cute um. You know foot mats when you walk in all that stuff is really cute, so I just want to show you an option. Actually, if you don't want to get a wreath and hang that on your door, whether you don't spend the money or you just want to put a big hole in your door, this is a really cute, inexpensive way to decorate your door.
That I think your guests will love, so let's go ahead and started with the materials and the steps needed and then we'll move on to the next tip Terios needed some holiday ribbon. I picked this up at the dollar, store a door hanger and some masking tape. We are going to make the front door look like a big Christmas present. So the first thing we're going to do is measure the width of the door with our ribbon we're going to be taping it on the inside des of the door. So you want to extend it about an inch and then cut your ribbon. I chose to work with two ribbons, so you'll want to cut the second piece, the same length and then layer it directly under the first moving on to the vertical stripe. We are going to repeat the same steps, but this time we are doing the entire length of the door.
This is a good time to put on our door hanger and see how things are looking now to wrap the whole thing up. No pun intended. We are going to create a bow with the excess ribbon. All you want to do is fold a loop on one side and then do a loop on the other side. Let the ribbon kind of unfold itself and create little loops on both sides left right left right. You want to adjust the bow just to make sure that you have symmetrical ribbons on each side, do a few more loops, and then we will just use the extent of the ribbon to tie the center into place. I'm going to repeat the same steps with the other ribbon and voila our $ 4 door. The decor is done moving on to the next tip. Alright, my next tip. If you have pets, everybody takes one for the team this time of year. I have three dogs that are very inquisitive to every new person that comes to the door. So what better way to greeted then done greeted by three little milfs, so my dogs will be wearing these and I will show you exactly what that looks like to be greeted all right. Let's move on to the next, you alright guys a really great way to end.
The night is always on a warm fuzzy level and once everyone's fed and caught up, usually, everyone gathers around the TV and that's when everything kind of gets quieter. So I like to serve coffee and hot cocoa at that time, whether it's kids or adults, I want to show you a really cute way to decorate the coffee and hot cocoa, and then also, I want to show you how to make these massive faux fur pillows. I know a lot of times, there's not enough room on the couch for everyone. It depends on awake people you have over, obviously, but a lot of times some people like to sit on the floor. So when that is the situation I like to have really big faux pas faux fur pillows, I don't really like being bags just goes fashionably. I don't like the way that looks in my house, so I'm going to make this really oversized faux chinchilla, pillows I'll, show you how to do that. It's really inexpensive if you were to buy them online. Obviously, they usually don't come this big and if they do, they look like cost. You the same amount as a yard of the faux fur. So let's go ahead and bring that out and I'll see you at the end of the video alright. Moving on now, I'm going to show you some hot coffee and cocoa art. We are going to decorate the top of our coffee and cocoa using stencils.
First, a step is to trace the circumference of your cup onto a cardstock piece of paper. Next step is to cut that out, as you can see, I'm extending it a few centimeters past. The line next step is to choose your stencil of choice and then cut out around that final step and prepping or stencil is to tape down the edges, be sure that all the edges are extremely flat. Moving on to the whipped cream, make sure that you feel the whipped cream all the way up to the top, and then you'll want to take a spoon and smooth it over. You literally will need no gap between the stencil and the whipped cream. If this is going to work, as you can see, I've pressed the stencil end of the whipped cream and then I've applied my cinnamon cocoa or sprinkles. Whatever you want and then I'm adding a finishing touch by adding red and green candy sprinkles all right, let's wrap this baby up. As you can see, I have a half yard of faux fur folded inside out the most important part. We're making faux fur pillows is to take the time to pin the edges. As you can see, I am tucking the fur in and then pinning the edge down once you do this you're going to run it through the sewing machine, but this is extremely important. Otherwise, you're going to be picking the fur out forever. Once you turn it inside out by you, can see how perfect the edges are when you take the time to pin the fur inside before sewing.
